LifeStorage Hermosa is hosting a Merchant Day event on March 10th from 10am to 4pm to help their small-business renters ply their wares and make some extra money. It’s one way Store Managers Yecy Morquecho and Mario Alequin like to help out their clients – generate foot traffic, help their tenants, and show off all that LifeStorage has to offer in the process. Another way Morquecho and Alequin like to help out is by giving back to their community, which is why they’ve partnered with LifeSource, Chicago’s Blood Center, to set up shop and accept blood donations during the Merchant Day event. The word is out, emails and fliers have been sent, Facebook is in the know, and now the LifeStorage blog is doing its part.
LifeSource was established in 1987 and is the largest blood center in Illinois and distributes a half-million blood products annually to approximately 60 area hospitals. This is the business of life, or more precisely, the business of giving life. Every drop counts, which is why we at LifeStorage are happy to help host the drive. We’re also asking all of our tenants, the surrounding community, and generous individuals (that aren’t afraid of needles), to stop by our Hermosa location this Saturday. If you’re in the area and want to do a little shopping, do a little giving as well and donate some blood.
If you can’t make it, we encourage you to visit LifeSource on the Web and see when and where there’s a drive you can attend and donate, and in the process, help save a life. To all those prospective donors planning on stopping by this Saturday, thanks in advance, and welcome to LifeStorage!
