It’s time to get get those checkbooks ready and make a preemptive strike on calorie counting, because on Saturday, March 3rd, it’s cookie time! Girl Scout Cookies, to be exact, from Thin Mints to Samoas to Tagalongs, these scrumptious yearly delicacies have arrived and LifeStorage Mokena is helping spread the deliciousness by hosting a Girl Scout Cookie Sale for local troops 346 and 475, from 10am to 3pm.
Troop Leader Camille Allen is partnering with Store Managers Kelly Butt and Megan Tolbert to help raise funds for Allen’s troops’ upcoming troop events. Troop 346 (grades 2-4) is planning a three-day weekend trip to the state capital, Springfield, IL, while Troop 475 (grades 5-12) will use the money earned from cookie sales for a five-day trip to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. Both trips sound like a lot of fun, and LifeStorage is happy to help these girls reach their goals.
Both Kelly and Megan were once Girl Scouts themselves, so cookie sales and community are as much apart of their lives as self storage. LifeStorage Mokena is excited and proud to provide a place for Troops 346 and 475 to sell cookies, have some fun, and raise money to support their efforts. We invite cookie lovers, former scouts, tenants, and charitable folks in the area to stop in and buy some cookies and help these girls create lasting memories, develop friendships, and learn life skills, all with help of our local community, a sweet tooth, and LifeStorage!
